Thursday October 23rd

Friday October 24th

10.00-12.30 and 14.00-17.00 : registration of the participants at the Archives Départementales du Rhône (31 rue Mouton-Duvernet, near the Part-Dieu railway station)
-- between 10.30 - 13.00 : guided visit for those arriving early: the Cornish beam engine and the water reservoirs of the former Caluire waterworks (2 avenue de Pumeyrol, Caluire) - group leaving by bus from the Part-Dieu railway station, meeting point: side Viviers Merle, exit 'Porte du Rhône' at 10.30 sharp!

14.30 - 17.00 :
Workshop on the campaign ‘2015 European Industrial and Technical Heritage Year'

- strategy and advancements
- coordination within countries and regions
- the steering groups: reports, ideas and networking
- twinning: partner search, networking

17.00  : Presentations of the industrial history and heritage of the Lyon and the region ‘Rhone-Alpes’
- Welcome by the director of the Archives départementales du Rhône
- Welcome by Patrimoine Rhônalpin, Usine Sans Fin and Vive la TASE
- Welcome on behalf of E-FAITH
- Lecture by Philippe DUJARDIN: Portrait industriel de la région Rhône-Alpes

19.00: welcome drink

Saturday October 25th

08.30 (sharp !!!) Leaving from the tram stop behind the Part-Dieu railway station
09.00 Welcome and présentation of the ‘Carré de Soie’
09.30 - 13.00 (including coffee break; discussion) - working session 1

Presentations on the theme of the weekend:
The industrial heritage: a holistic heritage in a global world

- general introduction ‘From industrial landscapes to intangible heritage - the industrial heritage as a whole’
- Presentation of papers : see the call for papers (max. 8 papers will be allowed) 

13.00 - 14.00
- light lunch, networking
14.00-16.00 : working session 2
- Associations present their aims and activities: see the call for papers (max. 10 papers will be allowed)
16.00-16.15 : short coffee break
16.15-18.15 : working session 3
Discussion on various proposals : short discussion, votes

- Win-win for E-FAITH (board, corresponding members of the board, membership and membership procedures)
- proposal to establish an E-FAITH committee 'Save industrial heritage'
- other proposals

18.30 visit of of the 'La Belle Dormante' and Mini World Lyon
light refreshments (sandwiches, soup) by ‘La Marmite Urbaine’

Free evening

Sunday, October 26th

09.30 - 12.00 and 13.30 - 16.30 : guided visits in Lyon:
- morning visits, choose between:
1) the skyscrapers (Gratte Ciel) and surrounding housing and public buildings at Villeurbanne (1927-1934),
2) Visit of the lace trimmings workshop by 'Soierie Vivante'

- 12.00 - 13.30 : lunch (at own expenses) at La Confluence or at les Gratte Ciel

- 14.00: meeting at the tram stop in front of the Hôtel de la Région (archit. Christian de Portzamparc):
afternoon visit: the adaptive re-use and town planning of the old industrial and transport area (150 ha) la Confluence, ending around 16.00 at the Halle Tony Garnier where participants also will have the opportunity to visit the wine festival (and taste some good wines) - entrance fee for the Halle Tony Garnier (because of the wine festival): 10 euro
