Het Kranenproject (Dutch Crane Heritage Project)

 

 

In order to improve the general knowledge of Dutch Crane Heritage a group of people came together and formed a working group "Het Kranenproject" (Dutch Crane Heritage Project).
Members of our working group:

  • Ed Schulte, webmaster en secretary
  • Giel van Hooff, historical writer
  • Helmig Klerebezem, group member
  • Gerard Jacobs, crane historian

 
Present activities of the Dutch Crane heritage group:

  1. The inventarisation of Dutch crane manufacturers and the description of their history and products
  2. The inventarisation of Dutch historical cranes
  3. To provide support to groups or organizations in order to maintain the existing cranes
  4. Assist in acquiring a national or local listed Monument status for cranes

We want to start a European working group.
For the European year of industrial and technical heritage 2015 we ask other organizations in Europe to join us in a collaborative European crane heritage project. The Dutch group will act as group moderator .
The proposed European crane heritage group will be active for E-FAITH in the 2015 Year of Industrial Heritage for the Crane Heritage project
