Annual Conference Association for Industrial Archaeology

09/05/2014
09/11/2014
Europe/London

The Association's conference this year will be held at Chester University. The University has a compact campus which is situated about a mile from the city centre.

The format of the conference will be that adopted for many years and will commence on Friday with a Seminar on the chemical industry and textile finishing. The main conference from Friday evening to Sunday lunch time will include a tour of Chester, its canal and shot tower on Saturday morning. As usual there will be an opportunity for member's contributions and early notification that delegates wish to make such contributions would be helpful.

From Sunday afternoon to Wednesday afternoon there will be visits to sites taking in aspects of the chemical, mining and textile industries, the canal infrastructure and the maritime heritage.
